”Désillusion“ : a feeling of disappointment resulting from the discovery of the unpleasant truth about something or someone thought to be good.
When words were not enough to express the distress and profound sadness the designer experienced, every piece of this collection came to life with the simple purpose of healing her. What first felt like a tearing heartache, quickly transformed into a healing reconstruction. Stich by stich, the designer sewed “Désillusion” and sewed herself back together in the process.
Even though the starting point of this collection was terribly heavy and sorrowful, what emerged from it is powerful and profoundly liberating.
Désillusion is a gift to herself. A solution to breathe. A step into healing.
